Would you like to meet weekly with a group of like-minded writers to support and develop your work?
‘Writer’s Circle,’ plans to be Lancaster’s only open writing group. Aiming to start January 2010.
The meetings will be group-driven, with a strong emphasis on constructive mutual feedback. It’s also a great chance to meet and make personal and professional connections to help you further your own writing projects.
Depending on group feeling, we may focus on working towards public group performance, group publications or intensive critique.
All writers flourish with supportive and constructive feedback to help spark, maintain and develop their writing. Mollie offers One-to-One mentoring sessions in and around Lancaster. These sessions run by negotiation in terms of time, place and content, and their purpose is to provide the input you need to develop as a writer, be that by critique, exploration of craft, or creative play. Sessions cost £20 per hour, to include reading time.
For more information, please contact Mollie.
Plans are afoot to develop ‘Writers’ Circle,’ and One-to-One sessions online. If you are interesting in joining an online group to share and critique work, facilitated by Mollie, or to get One-to-One mentoring, please let me know.
Feedback from Mollie’s students past and present:
‘Mollie’s groups have a very strong sense of team and belonging that fosters supportive feedback and confidence among members. With her searching yet constructive feedback over several courses, I have seen the most significant progress in my work since I started to learn seriously about writing.’
Peter Ford, retired teacher.
‘My time spent with Mollie is wonderful – she gives me advice over coffee! The relaxed yet productive method she uses is the best technique – I really love our sessions!’
Anna Galbraith, 13 years old.
‘Mollie certainly knows her subject and has filled me with confidence.’
